A world without cheese is a dark barren place,
With no smells to delight, no new tastes to chase.
If there was no Camembert, just what would one do?
Without Gruyere or Gouda, there would be no fondue.
With no Cheddar or Stilton, the Brits would be stumped,
And Wallace and Gromit would be down in the dumps.
If Limberger and Roquefort disappeared with no trace,
It would deprive our olfactory sense of their grace,
The delicious, sumptuous stench of these cheeses,
Blowing on soft Tyrolian breezes.
And what of Paneer, Chhurpi, and Kesong Puti delights?
These incredible yak-carabao milk, tasty bites,
So deliciously soft and tenderly made
Without them, the world would not be the same.

It’s Halloumi and Herve, Harvarti and Quark,
That put a real spark right into my heart,
The melty Arbertam, Bocconcini, Mozzarella,
On a grill plate, a pizza, or even a salad,
It’s just not possible to live life without cheese,
Even lactose intolerant are easy to please,
With lactose-free milk to make Trappist monks swoon,
Every person on earth leaping over the moon,
To eat cheesy goodness, Brie, Bergkäse, Comté
Not many in the world need too much of a prompting,
To chow down on a cheese platter, any time of the day
Cheese lovers of the world see no other way!

The Autumn season is finally upon us, looking forward to cooler weather, time for a wardrobe change, nature's bounty beckoning us to turn inwards, a time to cocoon and prepare for the festive season that soon will arrive. ⁣
Living in Dubai this means the best season is lying ahead of me, where I will spend more time on the beach in the weekends, al fresco dining and bbq's with friends in the evening is possible again, hiking and diving season will start again, my summer wardrobe will change into my winter wardrobe (as we only have 2 seasons here, no coats though, but I will wear my cardigans and booths).

In other words, I have lived through my 24th hot scorching summer in the Middle East and the next 6 months are going the best time of the year and makes living in this part of the world something I would not want to change for anything in the world right now.
